“We launched Cabana Bro because we wanted to design high quality swim trunks with a perfectly tailored fit, rad patterns and vibrant colors. We figured we couldn’t be the only ones searching for a modern take on classically cut trunks.” – Jay Bell, Founder & CEO

Jay Bell and a classmate launched Cabana Bro in 2013 after graduating from UC San Diego. When they couldn’t find beach shorts (classically cut swim trunks) like the local legends used to wear, they created their own line of ridiculously awesome, insanely comfortable swim shorts, and had an instant hit on their hands! As quality-obsessed entrepreneurs, they still manage all the funding, design, and operations for the brand themselves.

Cabana Bro is based in sunny Santa Monica, CA, where people of all walks of life share a common obsession – the beach. Shorts are worn all day, every day - to the beach, to the bars, and everything in between. Shorts are a way of life for the SoCal crowd and THAT is the inspiration for Cabana Bro.
